ECare Nutritionals Digestive Support

What is ECare Nutritionals Digestive Support?
ECare Nutritionals Digestive Support is an all-natural, granular formulation that helps enhance the functioning of your horse's sensitive digestive tract.

What is the major benefit of using the Digestive Support?
ECare Nutritionals Digestive Support stabilizes digestion, may help prevent digestive colic, promote beneficial bacteria, and help keep your horse fit.

How does it work?
Digestive Support works by boosting the levels of certain beneficial microorganisms in your horse's digestive tract through the use of prebiotics and probiotics.

What is the difference between prebiotics and probiotics?
Prebiotics are dietary components that can support beneficial intestinal microbial populations and in doing so, may help reduce pathogenic or disease-producing bacteria in the intestine. Probiotics are the live microbial supplements that help horses by increasing the population of beneficial intestinal flora or bacteria in their digestive tract.

What probiotics are contained in the Digestive Support?
Our probiotic, the active ingredient in Digestive Support, is Bacillus licheniformis, which can increase the population of beneficial bacteria and may aid in the reduction of digestive colic.

Are there any prebiotics in the Digestive Support?
Yes, Digestive Support contains high-quality beta-glucans, which are polysaccharides reported to have immune-enhancing effects, and mannan oligosaccharides, which are protein complexes, offering competitive binding sites for pathogenic bacteria, in addition to enhancing absorption in the intestinal tract and improving the utilization of nutrients.

How often should the Digestive Support be given?
This depends if you are feeding adult horses and yearlings or foals. Feed adult horses and yearlings 1 scoop at each feeding, for a maximum of 2 scoops per day. You can feed foals 1/2 scoop at each feeding for a maximum of 1 scoop per day.

ECare Nutritionals Electrolytes Plus Minerals

What is ECare Nutritionals Electrolytes Plus Minerals?
ECare Nutritionals Electrolytes Plus Minerals provides horse electrolytes for normal body functions and replenishes electrolytes lost during exercise.

What is the major benefit of using Electrolytes Plus Minerals?
Electrolytes are the minerals crucial to proper cell functioning, and are lost when your horse sweats due to exercise or high temperatures. Even moderate activity can cause sweating and loss of electrolytes. By replacing these equine electrolytes, your horse's performance can be maintained.

How does it work?
When electrolytes are depleted, normal cell functions are reduced. Electrolytes Plus Minerals works by supplying the equine electrolytes that help control proper cell function.

What could happen if I do not supply an electrolyte to a sweating horse?
Most commonly, the loss of electrolytes will result in dehydration and poor horse performance. However, extreme loss of electrolytes can cause the shutdown of major organs leading to the horse's death.

What electrolytes are contained in Electrolytes Plus Minerals?
The electrolytes contained in Electrolytes Plus Minerals include sodium, chloride and potassium. When a horse sweats, these three electrolytes are the ones lost at the highest levels.

What minerals are contained in Electrolytes Plus Minerals?
Zinc, manganese, iron and copper are also included in Electrolytes Plus Minerals. These minerals contribute to overall horse health.

How often should Electrolytes Plus Minerals be given?
This depends upon the type of horse you are feeding. Feed adult horses and yearlings 1 scoop at each feeding, for a maximum of 2 scoops per day. Feed weanlings ½ scoop at each feeding for a maximum of 1 scoop per day. For heavily exercised or heavily sweating horses feed 1½ scoops at each of two feedings per day or 1 scoop at each of three feedings for a maximum of 3 scoops per day.

How is the product packaged?
This horse electrolyte supplement is available in an easy-to-carry, ¾-gallon rectangular bucket. Each bucket contains two, 2½ lb. foil pouches. These unopened foil pouches ensure the product remains fresh until you are ready to use it.

RestorAid EQ: Effective Equine Wound Care

What is RestorAid EQ?
RestorAid EQ is a safe, non-drying equine wound care cream that eases horse discomfort while it helps heal superficial wounds, abrasions, minor wounds, irritations and skin lesions.

What exactly does it do?
This technologically advanced horse care product formulation gently soothes, heals and alleviates the soreness of superficial wounds, cuts and abrasions quickly—with no scarring or hair loss. As it heals, it also diminishes swelling, supports cell repair and helps diminish itching and burning.

How does it work?
The secret to RestorAid EQ is a patented ingredient called arginine aminobenzoate, which studies have shown promotes microcirculation, a natural process that focuses your horse's natural self-healing response at the site of the injury. As microcirculation draws more blood to the site, it brings along more of the body's immune factors, such as antibodies and leukocytes. It also helps clean out the wound naturally through a process called debridement and helps stimulate cell repair.

What else does RestorAid EQ contain?
RestorAid EQ is an all-natural equine wound care product containing safflower oil, apricot kernel oil, mixed tocopherols, glycerin, coconut oil, borage oil, tea tree oil, camphor, lecithin, grapefruit extract and aloe vera.

Does it contain any anesthetics or steroids?
RestorAid EQ is an all-natural horse wound care and skin treatment product with absolutely no anesthetics, antibiotics, steroids, alcohol or toxic ingredients of any kind.

How do I apply RestorAid EQ?
RestorAid EQ comes in an easy-to-use spray that you apply topically as needed to minor wounds and skin lesions.

Does it itch or burn when applied?
The non-drying formula will control itching and burning when applied to the injured site.

How often can I use RestorAid—and how long can I keep using it?
Apply as needed and use until the wound has healed.

Extend-A-Cool®: Cooling Therapy for Horses

What is Extend-A-Cool?
Extend-A-Cool is a leg cooling therapy for horses. This horse care product is a water impregnated gel product that works through evaporative cooling. Extend-A-Cool can cool the leg up to 6 to 8° F, for up to six hours.

Why should I use Extend-A-Cool?
Extend-A-Cool helps relieve a horse's sore shins, osslets and inflamed muscles and tendons that may result from strenuous activity. It can also reduce the swelling and discomfort that can come from acute sprains and bruises. No freezing, refrigeration or wetting is required to use the product.

When should I use Extend-A-Cool?
Extend-A-Cool can be used before and after an event, after strenuous training or exercise, during transportation, as first aid, on the trail, or during and after endurance events.

What are the benefits over ice or cold packs?
Ice or cold packs used over 20 minutes without a veterinarian's supervision can lead to nerve damage. Extend-A-Cool is a mild cooling therapy that reduces the lower leg temperature 6 to 8° F, and can be used safely for at least seven hours. And unlike commercial cold packs, which are stiff and difficult to use, Extend-A-Cool conforms to the shape of your horse's leg for uniform tissue cooling.

Can I take Extend-A-Cool to events, shows and on trail rides?
Extend-A-Cool is great to take along. Due to its small size, it easily fits in saddle bags, in the horse trailer, in the barn or in your vehicle.

Does the product need to be frozen or refrigerated?
The product does not need to be frozen or refrigerated for it to cool. The product is not harmed if accidentally frozen; however we do not recommend freezing the product for use on horses without the advice of your veterinarian. The product can be refrigerated to give additional cooling for the first 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the product will attain the same temperature as non-refrigerated product.

I left my package of Extend-A-Cool in a hot vehicle. Can I still use it?
If the Extend-A-Cool Cooling Sheet is in its sealed original package, the product is still usable.

What is the shelf life of Extend-A-Cool?
In its original unopened sealed package, the Extend-A-Cool Cooling Sheets should be good for up to five years.

I only need one of the Cooling Sheets in the package. What should I do with the other one?
The second sheet can be stored in the original package if the package is tightly resealed. Or, it can be placed in a sealable plastic bag. Make sure the bag is sealed tightly to protect the sheet from drying out. The product should stay usable for several weeks.

Can I reuse Extend-A-Cool?
The Mesh Wrap can be reused. Washing by hand is recommended if needed. The Cooling Sheet cannot be reused after the initial six to seven hours of use. However, if you need to use the product only for a few hours, you can reuse it later as long as it has been handled properly. Remove the product from the horse and cover the gel side with the clear cellophane cover from the original packaging. Then place the product in a plastic bag that can be resealed, and make sure the bag is sealed to protect the product from drying out. The product should stay usable for several weeks.

Can I put a boot or a wrap over Extend-A-Cool?
The only type of wrap that should be used over an Extend-A-Cool Cooling Sheet is the product's own Mesh Wrap. That's because the Extend-A-Cool Cooling Sheets need air to function properly and covering with a bandage or boot will reduce its effectiveness.

Can I use medications or salves under Extend-A-Cool?
Since the Cooling Sheet has not been tested with medications or salves, we do not recommend using it over medications or salves.

Can I use Extend-A-Cool over a wound?
Since the Cooling Sheet has not been tested over wounds, we do not recommend that the product be used over a wound.
