Extend-A-Cool for horses is convenient and easy to use.
  • Apply immediately to your horse's leg after a workout, at an event or in transit
  • These light, portable cooling horse wraps conform well to your horse's legs for uniform tissue cooling
  • Use the equine Cooling Sheet in conjunction with the Mesh Wrap to ensure proper airflow and adhesion to the leg
Cautions
  • For external use only. Do not apply over wounds, abrasions or lacerations
  • Should not be applied with external ointments, creams or salves
Read illustrated step-by-step instructions below for applying and removing Extend-A-Cool horse Cooling Sheets and Mesh Wraps.

Refrigerating Extend-A-Cool will increase its cooling capacity for the first 10 minutes; however, after that point, temperature changes will be the same as research results obtained in non-refrigerated tests.

Step 1:
Remove the Extend-A-Cool® Mesh Wraps from their packaging. They will come folded similar to the picture above.
Step 2:
Unfold the wrap and lay it on a flat surface. Product works best if the soft loop side of the fasteners faces downward and the stiff hook side of the fasteners faces upward.
Step 3:
Remove the Extend-A-Cool Cooling Sheets from their package. (Note: if only one leg is to be wrapped, the second sheet may be kept in its original package if the package top is folded over and clipped, or the extra Cooling Sheet may be placed in a plastic bag that can be resealed, to ensure freshness of the product. If not fully sealed from air, the product may dry out and lose its capabilities to cool.)

Step 4:
Unfold the Cooling Sheet so the cloth side of the sheet is downward and peel off clear protective layer.
Step 5:
Place the Cooling Sheet on top of the Mesh Wrap so the cloth side is down and the gel side is up.
Step 6:
Pick up the Mesh Wrap/Cooling Sheet combination so the gel side of the product is against the leg. Position the Extend-A-Cool product just under the horse's knee, and gently wrap the product around the leg. Check to make sure the product is flat against the leg with no wrinkles or folds. Firmly secure with the uppermost hook and loop fastener.
Note: If the horse's leg is so large that the tendons on the back of the leg are not fully covered, wrap the product from the back of the leg, so the straps are on the front.

Step 9:
